Hello. We are the team who cater for your lunches and teas, in the Village Hall, at Egmanton, for the Annual Pilgrimages, and we come from the adjoining village of Kirton. We have been doing the catering for well over 20 years now, and any profit we make providing these refreshments, goes into our own Church funds, ie Holy Trinity - Kirton.  However, although we are pleased to make a little profit, the prices for our lunches and teas are kept very low, in the spirit of true friendship and Christian hospitality. We have grown to know the pilgrims over the years and are always pleased to see them and renew our acquaintance. In fact, they have become old friends and we look forward to the chats that we share on these occasions.

Lunch and Tea are the main events, but coffee is served to those of you who arrive early and need refreshing before the noon service.  We cater for the three Pilgrimages, usually in May, September and November. We serve a good selection of food on all these occasions. In May and September, there are Ham or Quiche salads, Ploughman's Platters, Pork-pie, Corned-beef pie, Lentil-pie, a variety of salads, pickles etc and plain or filled rolls.  Then, in November, instead of the salads, we supply a variety of heart-warming soups with crusty bread. The sweet table is always very tempting, with pavlova, trifles, cheesecakes, tarts, pies and crumbles - and all sorts of mouth-watering cakes.  We also make an effort to cater for those with special dietary requirements, such as diabetics and those who need gluten-free, dairy-free products etc. Rest assured, there is always plenty to fill your plates and satisfy everybody's appetites.

We will look forward to seeing you in the near future, and be sure that there will be a warm welcome to you all.  God Bless.

'The Catering Team' - Jonathan, Georgina, Anne, Margaret, June, and Madeline.
